- Agreed here, I think I saw it quoted somewhere as costing around $2 per CD.
-
- The only thing about adopting zip drives is that it is not firmly established
- as CDs, if the world zags another way it is not so simple for the amiga to zag
- along if it has established zip drives as standard. Another reason I guess for
- the amiga to be more modular. Once you have wrapped an a1200 class machine

- down in price to wipe zip drives off the map. 4.2 GB per cart is preferable to
- 100 MB per cart if the price is low enough. :)
-
- : * The $5 more it would cost is worth it for a disk that can be reused.
- : I'd happily pay $29.95 or $39.95 than $24.95 or $34.95 when I can re-use

-
- Good point, although I haven't seen much amiga software that cheap. :)
-
- The points about reuseable media are well taken as well. I am not sure any of
- the newer reusable media has established itself enough to be adopted as a
- standard yet by the amiga.
